International Studies - VIETNAM'S FOREIGN POLICY
Over the last two years, member economies of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), also known as the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement, including Viet Nam, have actively negotiated to sign the Agreement as soon as possible so as to promote liberalization and facilitation of economic and trade activities among them. By September 2012, these member economies have carried out 14 rounds of negotiation. This article strives to give a number of assessments on the intention of member economies while participating in the Agreement as well as some qualitative observation about the impact of TPP on the international integration of Viet Nam and, in turn, on Viet Nam’s economic development in the upcoming period.
