Power of Media on Foreign Policy of the Barack Obama Administration: The case of Libya Humanitarian Intervention in 2011

In the era of new technology and globalization, media have become the soft power of one country, being the ability of setting up agenda, regulations or norms which the other countries have to accept and follow; an important factor in the foreign policy formulation and implementation process. Therefore, a research of media influence on foreign policy would explain the way in which countries act in international relations, especially humanitarian intervention. The paper will examine the Libya intervention case to clarify the power of media on the Barack Obama administration’s foreign policy.
